Who and what is AfriForum?

AfriForum is an Afrikaans civil rights organisation that protects the rights of minority groups at national as well as provincial level, and anyone who can identify with AfriForum’s principles and objectives may join the organisation. AfriForum’s community plan focuses on mobilising communities to thus take control of their own streets and neighbourhoods again. AfriForum ensures that your constitutional and civil rights are recognised and protected at national level.

#AfriForumStandsTogether for Schools: More than R300 000 in aid given to Mpumalanga schools

AfriForum’s Mpumalanga branches assisted schools in the province in various ways to help them prepare to reopen under the strict regulations. This initiative, which distributed aid worth over R300 000 to schools, forms part of the #AfriForumStandsTogether for Schools project that was launched in cooperation with AfriForum Youth. The school support packages donated to the schools contain COVID-19 information brochures, patterns for facial masks, electronic thermometers, hand sanitiser and hand sanitiser stands. Each package is worth R6 500.

AfriForum Education put together school support packages and distributed it to branches all around the country to be donated to schools. These packages bring relief to schools that are already struggling financially as a result of the lockdown.

The following schools each received a package:

Nelspruit: Hoërskool Bergvlam, Laerskool Bergland, Hoërskool Nelspruit, Laeveld Laerskool and Pro Gratia Learning Centre
