AfriForum’s Kimberley neighbourhood watch holds mass patrol

The Kimberley neighbourhood watch of the civil rights organisation AfriForum on 11 February 2017 carried out a mass patrol in the city between 22:00 and 02:00 to sharpen up on safety and increase visible policing.

“It is extremely encouraging for me that the neighbourhood watch members and volunteers were, despite the rainy weather conditions, still prepared to carry out the patrol. AfriForum is thankful to each person who is sacrificing his time to make a difference,” says Gideon Gouws, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Kimberley branch.

AfriForum is making a plea to the community of Kimberley to become involved at the local branch and actively participate in the activities of the neighbourhood watch. For more information on this, send an email to linja@afriforum.co.za.
