AfriForum: Vryheid branch receives training in legal aspects

AfriForum’s Vryheid branch recently received training in the legal aspects surrounding patrol work. This training forms part of the benefits that AfriForum offers its members and also empowers neighbourhood patrollers to act correctly and within the framework of the law.

“This is a further milestone which Vryheid and surrounds have achieved in our task to secure our community. More and more of our people receive the necessary training to be able to patrol their areas, armed with the necessary knowledge,” says Gavin Minott, Chairperson of the Vryheid branch’s Safety Portfolio.

“We aim to soon offer more courses to the wider public and of course to our AfriForum members as well as part of our plan to further expand community safety,” says André van der Walt, Chairperson of the AfriForum branch in Vryheid.

“AfriForum offers a wide range of benefits to its safety structures, of which training is one of the most important aspects to improve the knowledge of its members and to equip them to act in a safer manner,” says Eugene van Aswegen, AfriForum’s Provincial Coordinator for KwaZulu-Natal.
